Tool Hire Fitter

Thomas Tool Hire are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Tool Fitter to join our team at our busy Tool Hire Depot. As part of a reputable company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of small power tools, electrical tools, and other equipment available for hire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in electrical or fitting work, or even those with a strong desire to develop these skills further in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, and modify a variety of small power tools, electrical tools, air tools, as well as both corded and cordless tools.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and some light plant work as required.
• Manage administrative tasks, ensuring all service and repair records are completed accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety guidelines in line with company and HSE regulations.
• Conduct PAT testing and PDI inspections alongside the Tool Fitter team.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for individuals with an electrical or fitting background who are eager to grow their careers within a supportive and stable work environment. While previous electrical or fitting experience is preferred, it is not essential for success as a Tool Fitter. In this role, you’ll be working with a team of skilled fitters who specialize in maintaining a range of small tools such as generators, power tools, saws, and disc cutters.

Desirable Experience:

We welcome applicants with experience in any of the following roles: Workshop Fitter, Tool Fitter, Test and Run Tool Fitter, PDI Inspector, PAT Tester, Small Tools Fitter, or Mechanic.
